Social Support

Maintaining an active social life in and outside of your home is the secret to staying young at heart! However, if you’re no longer able to drive or have the ability to travel on your own, keeping in touch with family and friends and remaining a part of you community can be tough.

Our social support and transportation services can help keep you active and social including:

  • Visiting your home to spend time together, having a cup of tea and a chat or playing a game.
  • Help you to shop for food or other things.
  • Support you to find groups with similar interests to you, such as bingo or hobby group.
  • Take you to visit friends or family that live nearby.
  • Attend appointments.
  • Attend church.
  • Go on outings.
  • Attend activities in our centre

Our social support service can be used for a short time or we can make regular visits weekly or monthly. You can also change the frequency of your services as your needs change.

You can use our Social Support services with any other services that we offer.

Costs & Eligibility:

Our home aged care services are available to seniors over the age of 65, (or over 50 years for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders). The cost of your services will be determined by your eligibility for the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) or a Home Care Package (HCP).

If you’re not eligible for CHSP or a home care package, you can still access care through privately funded services, where you will meet the full cost of care yourself.

Our Approach:

Everglow Community Care’s home care services are designed to help you keep living in your home for longer. With a personalised care plan created together with you and your family, we help you to become more independent.

With over 35 years’ experience, our team of case managers, carers, occupational therapists and other allied health professionals offer a complete suite of services in the comfort of your own home.
